Message from the Editor

Although I have always wanted to be a writer, I've also always had a wide range of interests. When I started at Glendale Community College, I was an English major who went on to work in a day care center. Prior to taking a T.A. (and later teaching) position at the day care center I used to attend in my youth, I worked in a small records & promotion company. I've always loved music and both sides of my family were musically inclined. It was enjoyable work, but left little time available for college.

I also had a fondness for Cultural Anthropology, so I took that on as a major as well. I took many Early Childhood Education courses, at the urging of my boss, eventually adding Child Development as a major once I had completed the requirements for Anthropology at a Jr. college level.

Far younger than I would suggest, I got married and had children. I didn't have time to write, but I had to do something to help out with the bills while staying home with my kids. So I started working from home. When the two daughters I had in my first marriage were toddlers, I went back to college and picked English up again as a major (along with Mythology and Religious Studies). During this second run at college, I also began tutoring in Political Science.

I have spent the years since then diligently working on my writing and editing skills. I have studied the Chicago Manual of Style (and own 2 different editions) & the AP Stylebook, too many books on writing and editing to list, taken countless courses, and honed my craft as a writer and editor. I have edited and critiqued the books and stories of friends, relatives and clients (some of whom have gone on to be published in their genre of choice). As an admitted perfectionist, I am extremely thorough and  passionate about my work. After all, if you're doing what you love you'll never work a day in your life, right?

No editor or ghostwriter can guarantee complete perfection with a straight face, but I can guarantee that all projects will receive the utmost attention to detail. I go over every piece I work on at least twice, working through it until the perfectionist in me, and the client, is satisfied with the results.

My favorite & most well-versed fiction genres include (but aren't limited to): Paranormal, Sci-Fi, Supernatural, Horror, YA, Adventure, Fantasy, Crime/Mystery, Romance and Erotica.

Non-fiction specialties and areas of expertise include: Anthropology, Mythology, History, Religious and Cultural Studies; Biographies, Autobiographies and Memoirs; Babies, Children, Pets and Family; Music, Video Games & Movies.

What kind of material will I edit and/or write? Books (both fiction and non-fiction), proposals and synopsis, articles, short stories, website content, essays, thesis, dissertations.

Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about what I will or will not edit/write, or if you would like a free sample edit.

Happy Writing to All and to All a Good Night!!
